Lviv is accessible through several modes of transportation including air, rail, and bus.
Air
Danylo Halytskyi International Airport "Lviv" is located 7 m from the city center and receives flights from several major international airlines including Аustrian Airlines, LOT, МAU ,Turkish Airlines, Utair, Wizzair, Azerbaijan Airlines, Eurolot.com, and Pegasus Airlines and several several major cities including Napoli, Munich, Dortmund, Vienna, Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Venice, Istanbul, and Athens. Lviv's city center can be reached from the airport by taking Trolleybus No. 9 (3 UAH general, 2 UAH students), marshrutka (fixed-route taxi, 4 UAH), or taxi (70 UAH).

Rail
Finding the easiest route to Lviv is contingent upon your point of origin:
- Western and Central Europe: several companies operate direct journey to Lviv from the Polish cities of Krakow and Warsaw.
- Southern Europe:a majority of trains bound for Kyiv originating in Slovakia or Hungary make stops in Lviv. Central Asia: often the most convenient route is to connect with one of the several trains leaving daily bound for Lviv from Kyiv.
- Within Ukraine: the majority of trains operating in Western Europe make stops in Lviv.

Lviv's city center can be reached from the train terminal using trams No. 1, 6, 9 or 10 (3 UAH general, 2 UAH student); marshrutkas No. 16, 31, and 32 (fixed-route taxi, 4 UAH); and the central bus station and railway station are connected by bus No. 10 (3 UAH).
Bus
There are several major bus routes traveling from the major cities of the European Union. Along the western border of Ukraine are located several customs checkpoints, all of which are accesible by bus and connect with bus routes traveling to Lviv. A schedule of these buses can be found here, and tickets may be purchased here. Regular international buses stop at the Central Bus Station, which is connected to Lviv's city center by trolleybus No. 5 (3 UAH general, 2 UAH student); buses Nos. 3a, 40, and 25; the Central Bus Station is also connected to the Lviv Railway Station by bus No. 10. Please be advised that several routes terminate at the Central Train Station or behind the Lviv Opera, rather than at the Central Bus Station.
