The 51st Annual ASEEES Convention will be held at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis (780 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94103) from Saturday, November 23, to Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
Please note that the Convention starts on a Saturday and ends on Tuesday just before Thanksgiving.
Book your hotel rooms as soon as possible. Once the ASEEES room block is sold out, the hotel room rates will double or quadruple.
The ASEEES block rate for regular rooms at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis will be $219/night plus taxes.* A limited number of rooms are still available for Friday, November 22 through Tuesday, November 26. Thursday night is now sold out and we expect that all of the room block will sell out prior to the cutoff date of November 1. Please note that if you are booking a specific type of room they may be sold out. If you allow a "Run of House", meaning whatever is available (King or Two Doubles), you are more likely to be guaranteed a room.
* The rate for rooms with three people will be $239/night plus taxes, and rooms with four people will be $259/night plus taxes.

Graduate student rooms are sold out. Students who submitted a request will receive notification by the end of April on if they have a student room or are on the waitlist. Consider using the Roomshare Locator (see below) for savings on your hotel cost.

The hotel provides free wifi in the lobby, and ASEEES will provide free wifi in the common areas and the exhibit hall during convention hours. There is no internet access in the meeting rooms.
Rooms booked through the ASEEES special group rate will have access to internet for $1 per room per night if used. If you join the Marriott Rewards Members program ahead of time, or join during check in, the internet will be complimentary during your stay.
Issue concerning Green Choice
Marriott offers a rewards program called the Green Choice to its rewards card holders that are viewed by hotel workers as hurting the housekeeping staff. We provide this information so that you can make an informed decision.

The San Francisco International Airport (SFO), located about 14 miles southwest of the hotel, is about a 25-35 minute drive from the hotel (longer at peak hours). Cab fare is estimated at $45 each way, but varies with traffic. Public transportation is available via the Yellow line through the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) for $9.65 and will pick you up at the airport and drop off about a two minutes’ walk from the hotel.
The Oakland International Aiport (OAK), located about 20 miles southwest of the hotel, is about a 35-45 minute drive the hotel (longer at peak hours). Cab fare is estimated at $60 each way, but varies with traffic. Public transportation is available via the BART system by taking two trips, the Beige, and then either the Blue-Wkd/Sat or Green line, for $10.65 or by bus routes 21, 73, and 805.
Train and Bus service:
The hotel is about a 20-minute walk (or 5-10 minute drive) from San Francisco’s Transbay Terminal Amtrak, but has limited accessibility services. This station is serviced by the San Joaquins, Capitol Corridor, and California Zephyr lines, with the Zephyr route serving select cities from Chicago.
There is a Greyhound bus station approximately 5-10 minute drive from the hotel.
San Francisco has several public transportation options.
The hotel is less than a five-minute walk from the Market St & Stockton St station. It is serviced by the F lightrail and the following bus routes: 6, 7, 9, 9R, K-OWL, L-OWL, M-OWL, N-OWL, T-OWL.
The hotel is also less than 15 minutes away from the Folsom St & 2nd St station. It is serviced by the following buses: 2, 4, 8, 18, 24, 24X, 27, 38, 44, 54, 56, 58, 72, 72X, 74, 76.
